bios_
Comenzó su carrera como DJ hace 10 años en la ciudad de Rosario, Argentina participando en todos los proyectos de música electrónica q allí se desarrollaron. Desde sus inicios intento difundir artistas que musicalmente lo representaran, más allá de los charts, alejándose así de lo standard. Paralelamente a su formación como DJ, comienza su formación musical como bateria.

Dos años más tarde es convocado para participar como DJ en el show de la agrupación inglesa Primal Scream, además de sucesivos DJ sets en las fiestas Movement parties (Ave Porco/Oval/Capsula-BA-Arg) 1998.

Más tarde, Nico emprende un viaje que derivo en 2 años de residencia en la ciudad californiana de San Francisco, participando allí de proyectos como Groovetech, una emisora de DJ sets online donde tocaban artistas tales como Twerk, Kit Clayton, Alex Paterson, Swayzak, entre otros.

Posteriormente participa de las fiestas POP organizadas por los productores Broker/Dealer (SF), evento donde tocaron artistas tales como Sutekh (SF), Safety Scissors (SF), Jonas Bering (Kompakt, Alemania), DJ Jasper (CA), entre otros.

En Abril del 2003 Nico regresa a la Argentina y es allí donde instala su home studio.

Los sets se caracterizan por la fusión entre el electro, deeptechno, y dub. Las influencias provienen en primer lugar de Kraftwerk, electro 80's, techno/electro Detroit, acidhouse 1989, como asi tambien The Cure, Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode, Human League, Giorgio Moroder. Los jamaicanos King Tubby, Lee Scratch Perry y las atmósferas propias del dub.

A new artist for the supernice label from Marseille with Nico Purman. Coming from Argentina, Nico has produced by the past for labels like Karmarouge or Synergy Network. Now, he presents us his third release on vinyl with two long tracks of high quality minimal techno. Let's go for the A side with the eponym track, "Ciudad de Nubes", a cut based on a funky and energic groove in a dub / tech-house way, we can easily compare it to the works of The Modernist. The big interest of that EP is for me on the B side with "Boske encantado", another long track, in a more mental way than the A side.
